Vinayaka Missions University Distance Education
Vinayaka Mission's University academic programs are approved by the Distance Education Council, IGNOU, New Delhi.The university offers over 200 distance education programs.
Its objective is to spread education on national and global level, especially in the field of Engineering, Dental, Homeopathy, Management and Medicine.
Vinayaka Mission's University Salient Features
- Students under the distance education are provided with Self-Instructional Materials for respective courses in the form of printed books. The students counseling is done through e-learning, video-conferencing and other such facilities.
- Well- trained, experienced, and qualified academic counselors conduct counseling and practical sessions at study centers. They also carry out evaluation for assignments, internal assessments for theory & practical sessions.
- The study centre provides students support services in terms of classroom, library, computer centre, faculty room, lab administrative office, Xerox facilities, video-conference, teleconference and other such facilities.
- The academic and administrative infrastructure is monitored at period intervals by the concerned School faculties as per their programs.
Vinayaka Mission's University Study Centres
At present, Directorate of Distance Education, Vinayaka Mission's University has a network of 436 study centers as well as partner institutions.
Intelectia Study Center is an Institution approved by and affiliated to VINAYAKA MISSION UNIVERSITY(VMU). VMU offers M.Phil, PG, PGD, UG, Diploma and Certificate courses through Distance Education programs approved by Distance Education Council in BANGALORE through Intelectia Study Center, Bangalore.
At the study centres and tie-up centres, students are provided with information services and academic counseling, besides organizing term-end exams locally.

Vinayaka Mission's University Program Structure
Programs are offered at five levels- Under-Graduate, Post-Graduate, P.G. Diploma, Diploma and Certificate.
The self instructional materials are planned based on credits for each type of programs. Here one credit is quantified by 30 hours of study, in other words a student has to put in 960 hours of study for completing a 32 credit programs.
Students registered with the University will get Self-Instructional Materials (SIM) in printed book form as well as e-learning, video conference, and the like.
